Ricardo P. is a Pajaro resident and high school student at Watsonville High School in the 11th grad where he is a member of the Mosaic Academy . He enjoys playing video games and participating in sports like football and track and field. Ricardo aspires to innovate ways for his community to thrive.

In this photo I feel like emphasizing a feeling of being left behind compared to people in Watsonville, especially during the floods.

Fallen Tree

The tree is a reminder of how harsh the weather has broken us. It lies in ruin in the forgotten middle school track.

This photo was the first one I took. It describes how every rainfall, storm or weather event, I live in fear of being left behind again or hurt. A beautiful view corrupted by my own thoughts.

Overgrown path

A factory and forest divided by a single overgrown path. Nature vs control and the fight between them cost us our planet.

Rainy

I wanted to capture my own experiences during the regular and how climate has affected it. I was at a sunny track meet when all of the sudden it began raining and thundering. This helped me connect to how the climate sudden changes made me feel about last year's storms.

Despite both of our communities being so distant, we are connected by the river, even then we find a way to keep fighting.
